Handcrafted Bronze Manufacturing

This story does not begin in 1945, when the Virtus family founded company.

In fact, it dates back to the Bronze Age itself, as for thousands of years bronze was the primary alloy used to manufacture weapons and tools that significantly improved human life.

Later on, jewelers of all eras began creating bronze pieces for decorative purposes. Exclusive items adorned palaces and luxurious residences of the nobility and royal families of the time.

The manufacturing technology we use — the foundation and backbone of our company — is one of the oldest and is known as sand casting.

In the mid-20th century, the Virtus family established their business, drawing on their deep knowledge of bronze manufacturing. They ensured their products reached all markets, transforming what was once an exclusive item accessible to only a few into bronze pieces available to everyone — in other words, they created commercial bronze.

The most important mission was carried out by Blanca Villuendas Virtus, the daughter of the factory’s founder. Her goal was to make bronze more commercially accessible, and in 1968 she became the lead designer and CEO of Virtus 1945.

Later, in 1989, with the arrival of the third generation of the Virtus family, the company expanded its horizons to international markets, exporting its decorative pieces to all fivcontinents.
